Ming Chin HSIEH is a dance artist based in London, United Kingdom and Taipei, Taiwan. With a background in Classical Ballet, Contemporary dance and Martial Arts Taichi, Ming Chin trained at National Taiwan University of Arts in Taipei followed by London Contemporary Dance School. Among the moments that have shaped her artistic path, performing at the Venice Biennale directed by Sir Wayne McGregor remains a defining highlight of her career — a milestone that affirmed everything she believes dance can be: a language capable of crossing borders, cultures, and silence itself.

For Ming Chin, dance has never simply been performance — it is a way of staying honest and transparent.  Dance is like studying infinity, a concept impossible for us to grasp. Its volatile nature urges Ming Chin to practice it on daily basis and she gratefully succumb to its demand and wishes.

Alongside performing, she is devoted to deepening her choreographic voice, seeking out collaborators from different disciplines who challenge her to see movement differently. 
Her work sits at the crossroads of emotion and embodied consciousness, circling back time and again to two questions: How can the body reflect culture, society, and identity? And what can dance express that words cannot?
In recent years, this exploration has extended into screendance, where she has found new ways to let the camera become another kind of witness — reshaping how the body speaks across time and space.


Her artistic journey is driven by a commitment to growth, authenticity, and the belief that movement can create meaningful connections between people.
